WHAT IS PM2.5

PM2.5 is a small particle of 2.5μm or less (1μm is 1/1000 of 1mm) suspended in the air.

Because PM2.5 is so small (about 1/30 the thickness of a hair), it easily penetrates deep into the lungs, and there are concerns about its effects on the circulatory system (carcinogenicity) in addition to the respiratory system.

Particulate matter includes those directly emitted by combustion of materials, and those that are formed by chemical reactions in the ambient air from gaseous air pollutants such as sulfur oxides (SOx), nitrogen oxides (NOx), and volatile organic compounds (VOCs).

Sources of PM2.5 include anthropogenic sources such as facilities that generate soot and smoke, such as boilers and incinerators, facilities that generate dust, such as coke ovens and mineral deposits, automobiles, ships, and aircraft, as well as natural sources such as soil, oceans, and volcanoes. Therefore, the impacts on the human body and plants will vary depending on what substances the PM2.5 that is flying in was originally made from.

HOW TO USE

1. <Normal washing> Fill a bowl with water, add the cleaning agent according to the recommended amount, and mix well. After gently washing the surface of fruits and vegetables, be sure to rinse for at least 30 seconds under running water.
   (Recommended amount to use: 10ml per 1L)
2. <PM2.5 removal> Fill a bowl with water, add the cleaning agent according to the recommended amount, and mix well. Add fruits and vegetables and leave to soak for 2-3 minutes, then gently wash the surface and be sure to rinse with running water for at least 30 seconds.
   (Recommended amount to use: 10ml per 1L)
3. <Mold inhibitor remover> Fill a bowl with water, add the cleaning agent according to the recommended amount, and mix well. After soaking the fruits and vegetables for 2-3 minutes, scrub the surface with a sponge and rinse with running water for at least 30 seconds.
   (Recommended amount: 10ml per 1L)

*For citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons that are labelled as using mold inhibitors, we do not guarantee that PM2.5 and mold inhibitors can be completely removed.

PRECAUTIONS

• In either case, do not leave it on for more than 5 minutes.
• This applies to citrus fruits such as oranges and lemons that are labelled with anti-fungal agents - we do not guarantee that PM2.5 and anti-fungal agents can be completely removed.
• If swallowed, give the person plenty of water to drink.
• If the product gets into the eyes, do not rub them, but immediately rinse thoroughly with water.
• In either case, if any abnormalities persist, we recommend consulting a medical specialist.
